Facilitator's message, 28 April 2021

We are now on the third day of 2030 Compass CoLab – Exploring synergies and trade-offs between Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Many thanks to those who have logged into the site and submitted their contributions so far. We look forward to hearing from others soon.

For this week, we encourage you to submit contributions about the SDGs where you have the most experience and expertise. And within those SDGs, you are especially encouraged to focus on interactions between pairs for which our research has shown a potentially wide spread in their interaction scores for some factors.

When you go to the Participate page, the default view shows a list of all 17 SDGs. When you click on one of those, the pairs we most want to explore are shown with SDG icons at the bottom of the introductory box that appears on the page. If you click on one of those icons, the web form will open with that pair already filled in.

You can also use matrix view, which is accessible by clicking on the link at the top of the default view. In that view, interactions with a large potential spread are shaded in blue. If you click on a shaded cell, the form will be automatically prefilled with that pair of SDGs and you can begin your submission.

We hope that everyone can make a contribution this week about several interaction related to the SDGs they know best. Next week, we will invite participants to go farther afield, and contribute on SDGs that are adjacent to their areas of greater expertise.
